Economic Dispatch Computation on Diesel Power Plant at PT ITP TBK with Least Square Parabolic Approach

Fast technology development has pushed all fields, especially in industries, so that electrical energy is required which must be available. A good electrical power system can supply electrical energy with good reliability. Otherwise, it has to operate economically. This paper represents an economic dispatch calculation using least square parabolic approach method which the data have been obtained from diesel power plant at PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa (ITP) Tbk. This method is one way to determine economic value on a power generating system. The constant value of parabolic equations were obtained by normal equation of performance test data. From calculation result, it was obtained that economic dispatch value was around 2,6 lt/MWh, especially for 19-20th May 2003. Keywoards : economic dispatch, electrical power,fuel.
